What do you love most and what’s most challenging about graphic design?
M: I love being able to elicit emotion and energy directly and indirectly in a way that seems familiar yet different and hopefully with central purpose. The most challenging aspect of layout and graphic design is triangulating the needs of the client(s), their audience(s), general design trend(s), and viewing platform(s).
If you weren’t in this line of work, what would you see yourself doing?
M: A poet, a comedian, and a politician walk into a bar.
On a day off work, what would your ideal plan be?
M: Whatever makes my son happy.
What has been your favorite project to work on while at Proclaim and why?
M: The IceBreaker Challenge website and branding. All of the design elements came together and it’s for a great cause.
If you had to listen to one band/artist for the rest of your life, who would it be?
M: Tom Petty
