Proclaim Captures Two Gold Awards at the Service Industry Advertising Awards

Proclaim was selected from more than 1,900 entries to earn two gold awards for logo design from the Service Industry Advertising Awards.
The logos were created for HSI, a publicly traded health care technology company, and for Harbor United Methodist Church.
The Service Industry Advertising Awards, started in 2003, is a national competition designed to recognize advertising excellence of the service industries. Entries were judged for execution, creativity, quality and customer appeal.
“At Proclaim we’ve set our sights on being the best marketing agency in our segment; not just in Wilmington, but in the nation,” said Spence Hackney, president of Proclaim Interactive. “While it’s nice to win awards like this, what I really find affirming is that it proves we’re meeting our goal. Giving branding a “lift”
HSI needed branding for their client portals, LIFT and PULSE. HSI enables health care companies to monitor and trace emergency services transport. When creating a logo for these portals, we took inspiration from nature and presented a streamlined dragonfly graphic that perfectly captured the spirit of their business.
The dragonfly demonstrates effortless flight—LIFT—while PULSE refers to wing vibration.
LIFT alludes to helicopter and ambulance transport, while PULSE indicates a vital sign. Both Pulse and Lift have positive connotations, implying vitality and progress.
Logo Development for non-profit organizations and churches
The logo for Harbor United Methodist Church was created to reflect the church’s mission statement: Boldly Sail Into God’s Possibilities. We created a graphic of a boat in motion, using nautical colors and a pattern reminiscent of the flame that appears in the official logo of the United Methodist Church.
Mitch Thompson, our creative director, was instrumental in creating these award-winning designs.
“I love being able elicit emotion and energy directly and indirectly in a way that seems familiar yet different and hopefully with central purpose,” Thompson said.
