Proclaim Interactive Acquires BurlapSky
We recently acquired BurlapSky, a Raleigh-based strategic marketing consultancy specializing in lead generation and digital marketing for professional services firms.
David Mooring, who began BurlapSky in 2010, has joined our team where he serves as a marketing strategist.
“Producing marketing results isn’t just about working hard for our clients, we also have to work smart. All marketing concepts are not created equal and we’ve got to continue to implement the best strategies available to keep our clients on top,” said Spence Hackney, president of Proclaim Interactive. “BurlapSky brings an incredible breadth of knowledge and strong creative thinking to our firm that will keep our results at the top of the pack for years to come. They’ve proven their ability to deliver top notch performance on a budget that is a great investment for the client. This acquisition is a huge win for our existing client base.”
Mooring brings a wealth of experience to the Proclaim Interactive team. He has 15 years of experience in digital marketing, and his portfolio includes projects for Fortune 500 companies like Domino’s Pizza and Martha Stewart Living as well as local institutions such as Duke University, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, and Wilmington and Beaches CVB. He was also an instrumental part of the team that developed one of the first mobile apps available in the iTunes App Store when it first opened.
Mooring has a passion for helping others succeed and has taught over 100 seminars and workshops on marketing and entrepreneurship at universities, colleges, chambers of commerce and other professional organizations.
“After operating BurlapSky as a marketing consultancy for nearly a decade, I have been looking for an opportunity to both expand my service offerings and to collaborate with other experts in my field,” Mooring said. “I’m very impressed with what Spence has built and the team he’s assembled, and I’m confident that joining Proclaim Interactive will allow us to offer a wider variety of expertise and marketing services to our clients.”
