Way to Go Get Heeled!
A few years ago we had the privilege of becoming involved with the GetHeeled Family 5k Event in Chapel Hill by donating a complete custom web site for the group. This organization is wholly focused on raising money to fight childhood cancer. What an honor to be associated with a cause like this!
Their race was this weekend and I am thrilled to say it was a huge success. They raised $51,000! Way to go guys! Here is a note from the founder and organizer, Katy Gilliam:
There are no words that I can say to describe how powerful Saturday was. We raised $51,000, had around 1000 attend and also had over 100 UNC Athletes with us. Scott sang the National Anthem, we read a list of names of children that we were honoring that day, it was gorgeous outside and no one had a dry eye throughout the day. It was perfect and could never have been done without an amazing website. Thank you so much for allowing us the ability to have a site and encourage people to come together to help fight childhood cancer here at UNC. You are so wonderful and I appreciate it so much. There is no way we could have been as organized, gotten important information out to the public and raised this much money without the site. It is such a HUGE gift.
