More Than Marketing
We’re more than just website designers and marketers. Proclaim Interactive actively supports several excellent charities through free or dramatically reduced-cost services. And we often do more than provide website design and marketing for our ministry partners: we become engaged in the hands-on work of the organization whenever we’re able.
Our volunteer work at the Wednesday Night Street Feeds is one such example: One evening each month, our staff works alongside First Fruit Ministries, serving hot meals to homeless men, women and children in downtown Wilmington.
A Place To Call Home
Recently, our special events coordinator, Tara Hackney, initiated a project to revitalize the children’s playroom at First Fruit Ministry. With the help of ten 3rd – 5th grade children from Christ Community Church, Tara oversaw the completion of a new mural, lively sea life decorations, new toys and even a new Wii system!
Since First Fruit Ministries began in 1998, it has grown to serve over 20,000 hot meals, provide emergency groceries to over 5,000 households, and shelter over 24 homeless women and families annually. Our desire was to see this shelter area become even more of a welcoming, tranquil home for the residing families. In particular, the children’s area lacked toys and any kind of color – no stimulation at all for the developing homeless children taking refuge here. So we set out to make the room much more lively and engaging.
At Proclaim, we strive to look beyond our own needs and also to the needs of others. When the children who live at First Fruits saw the renovated room, they cried happy tears because it looked like a “real playroom in a real house.” What a privilege it is to share our resources with those in need!
